This is a general education course, comprised of about 50 undergraduate students from a variety of majors. 
Textbook: Our Sexuality by Crooks, Baur, and Widman, 14th ed

Course Objectives
Upon successfully completing this course, students will be able to:
  1. Critique the meanings of sex/sexuality and the terms that represent these meanings.
  2. Accurately interpret and synthesize data about sexual attitudes and behaviors.
  3. Analyze personal, as well as others’, assumptions, feelings, and beliefs about sexuality.
  4. Implement effective communication skills regarding sexual topics.
  5. Apply sexual health concepts to personal choices and behaviors.
  6. Demonstrate respect for the diversity of thoughts, feelings, and values expressed through sexuality.
  7. Evaluate the impact of diverse contexts including gender, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, & other factors on sexual health experiences and outcomes.
  8. Demonstrate continuing curiosity about the concepts and issues explored in this course.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
  1. Describe the importance of integrating biological, behavioral, psychological, and social approaches to health
  2. Define current and historical concepts of health
  3. Explain basic biological processes
  4. Gather and evaluate health information from credible sources
  5. Critically analyze and interpret health information
  6. Identify behavioral factors that contribute to individual differences in health risk
  7. Recognize reasons for variability in health among diverse populations
